Judson S. Neal, President and CEO

Jud has been with PBN since 1999. Responsible for the overall strategy and execution of objectives, he provides oversight in all facets of the organization. During his tenure, PBN has maintained a high client retention rate and nearly tripled in size.

Prior to joining PBN, Mr. Neal held Senior Vice President positions in publicly held medical device and services corporations for over 25 years.

Jud holds a BSBA from the University of Missouri, an MBA from Rockhurst University, and is a graduate of the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford University.

He is a Certified Health Business Management Executive (CHBME) through the Healthcare Billing and Management Association (HBMA) and is a contributing author to the book Collected Wisdom, Best Practices for Third Party Healthcare Billing Companies published by HBMA. Jud also serves on several committees of the HBMA; including as a member of the Board of Directors.

Tammi Schaper, Director of Compliance, Training, Auditing, and Client Liaisons

Since starting with PBN in 1986, Tammi has performed virtually every billing function for a wide variety of specialties. Ms. Shaper currently oversees the development and implementation of the company’s Compliance Plan, HIPAA privacy and security policies, and auditing and training programs. Tammi’s responsibilities also include being PBN’s Quality Management Representative in our ISO program and providing leadership to client services.

Tammi holds a BS from Emporia State University (Summa Cum Laude). She is an associate member of HBMA and is currently working toward her certification through Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA).

Dave Hahner, Director of Information Systems

Dave began working with PBN in 1983. He is responsible for all of PBN’s voice and data communications. Mr. Hahner also supports PBN’s proprietary medical billing software, and provides software design and programming support for the network.

Dave earned a BSE in Mathematics from Emporia State University. After teaching math for several years, he worked for over 20 years providing technology solutions in medical billing, wholesale distribution, retail, and manufacturing as an employee and contractor.

Barrie Herbst, CPA, Corporate and Client Controller

Barrie joined PBN in 1996. She oversees PBN’s finance department, including all financial reporting, payroll, human resources, benefits, and financial reporting needed for tax accountants. Ms. Herbst also manages accounting and practice management for PBN clients, performing many of the same functions for them.

Barrie holds a BS in accounting from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and a Certified Public Accountant Certification.

Jonas Heinrich, Supervisor of Credentialing and Contract Management

Since 2007 Jonas and his department have consistently monitored network enrollment eligibility and react quickly to any issues to avoid physician cash flow disruption.

On the contracting side Jonas works closely with PBN physician clients and commercial payers to negotiate better quality contracts and higher reimbursements.

Jonas holds a BS in Business Administration from Kansas State University and is currently pursuing an M.B.A. with Rockhurst University.

Phyllis Morris, Director of Administrative Services

Phyllis has been with PBN since 1998. Mrs. Morris is responsible for the hiring, management, and leadership of the Customer Service Department, PBN’s Courier and Receptionist, and provides administrative support for the President and CEO. Phyllis also fulfills the role of Facility Manager for PBN. Prior to joining PBN, she was employed with Puritan Bennett Corporation for 23 years in a variety of positions including Financial Analyst, Budgeting and Forecasting Coordinator, and Administrative Services.

Nora Kreader, Client Liaison

Ms. Kreader is responsible for the coordination of all activities and principal contact for PBN’s anesthesia, emergency department, and pain management clients. She manages internal communications, monitors the daily operational processes and performs analysis for her clients. Since starting at PBN in 2001, she has assisted with all aspects of the business related to billing and contract management.

Nora has more than 15 years experience in the healthcare industry. She previously worked with medical practices as Business Office Manager and other roles where she specialized in the development of policies and procedures to ensure process improvement and increased efficiencies.

Nora holds a BA from Baker University. She is also certified through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) as both a certified professional coder (CPC) and a certified evaluation and management coder (CEMC).

Sarah Mountford, Client Liaison

Since 1999, Sarah has helped to manage service delivery for PBN clients. Her current responsibilities as Client Liaison make her the focal point of contact for both PBN and PBN clients to efficiently coordinate and manage daily activities and produce effective results. Ms. Mountford has worked in medical billing and practice management her entire career, and has coding certifications through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and the Radiology Coding Certification Board.

Sarah holds a BA (with honors) in Sociology from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, with a minor in German. Sarah is also a member of the Communications and Educational Products and Materials Committees of the Radiology Business Management Associations (RBMA).

Sharon Fasl, Client Liaison/Radiology Practice Manager

Prior to joining PBN in 2009, Sharon was the director of an MRI imaging center for 14 years. She was responsible for all facets of the practice including accounting, HR issues, patient care and operations management. She has been a registered radiologic technologist R.T.(R) since 1975 and worked at a large Kansas City hospital for 20 years, in a management/technologist role.

Sharon joined PBN as a Practice Manager for Radiology and will also serve as a client liaison for new PBN clients as needed. Sharon holds a BA in Healthcare Administration from Ottawa University.

Nancy Wiercinski, Client Liaison/Manager of Midland Division

Nancy joined PBN in 2009 as part of PBN’s merger with Midland Professional Management. She helped start up Midland Professional Management in 1998 fulfilling duties including system implementation, developing of compliance polices, and overall operations.

Her responsibilities at PBN will include client liaison for all of the multi-specialty clients involved in the merger and management of the Midland Division.

Ms. Wiercinski has worked in the medical billing industry for over 20 years.

Jordan Cole, Business Development

Jordan began working for PBN in 2009. Responsible for marketing, network, and client development, Jordan is a primary contact liaison for those seeking a business partnership or networking opportunities with PBN.

A graduate of William Jewell College, Jordan holds a BS in Business Administration with an Emphasis in Entrepreneurial Leadership.

Mr. Cole is committed to the improvement and well-being of PBN so that current and prospective clients will benefit from his attention towards continuous company growth and development.

David Gaston, Business Development

Prior to joining PBN in 2009, David worked as a Financial Services Executive providing retirement plans and investment advice for companies and individuals. David's responsibilities at PBN include client growth and retention as well as service development, strategic planning, and communications.

David holds a BS in Business Marketing from Baker University in Baldwin, Kansas.
